Billiken Shrine

SPOT NAMEBilliken Shrine

Have you ever heard about Bililen-san ever before? And have you tried to stroke the sole of the God’s foot?

Let me explain about Biliken-san a little, Biliken God has come from lunapark in US for long time ago actually.

One feature of Biliken-san is that it’s totally changed the god’s image which mean you might think God is absolutely “Godly” or “Sublimity” however Biliken-san is really close to our life and familiar to us so I guess even some Japanese reckon that  Biliken-san is goblin or monster. The point I’d like to explain about it is that Biliken-san is familiar god ever and Osaka’s symbol god nowadays.

This is what you can figure something out at Biliken Shrine in Osaka!
