Japanese locals call this place “Don-ki”, and in it you’ll find discount groceries, electronics, and clothing, plus everything inbetween.
Fill your house with electronics, fill your bedroom with clothes and decor, and then fill your pantry with food all from one location! This department store is filled with products for life, at cheap prices. An entire floor is dedicated to each category of product, one floor is dedicated to food, here you can find locally produced souvenir foods and specialties.
At the Dotonbori location, it’s known as an amusement park because that’s what it looks like! A big yellow ferris wheel which you can actually ride on adorns the outside structure of the building, and when you walk inside you might hear the store song, “Miracle Shopping”.
Overall, it’s quite an experience which fits in with Osaka’s unique culture.
