Osaka Tenmangu Shrine was established by the Japanese constitutional Emperor in 949, it’s a sacred place in which gods are enshrined.
One of the three biggest festivals in Japan belongs to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine which is Tenjin-festival (天神祭り) .
Osaka citizens celebrate and pray for prosperity at Tenjin-festival (天神祭) every year on the 24th and 25th of July.
Because of the size of Tenjin-Festival, thousands of stalls are opened on the streets.You can eat local food specialties, see fireworks at night, and everyone dresses up in yukata (for girls) or jinbei (for boys) summer kimonos!
